More Info. & Reading Order

The one thing I want most in life is freedom. As the crown princess of the entire supernatural world, I’m shackled to a title.

When offered the chance to be free for a couple of years, I take it. Unfortunately, fate has other plans, and I’m thrown into a mystery that threatens to steal my freedom and destroy everything. Dragons are being mind-controlled, and their queen is missing. On top of that, I might have accidentally awakened an extremely powerful supernatural and stole a case from my mentor, the king of vampires.

With the help of friends and family, I need to balance two personas while I solve the dragon problem and find their queen before the entire supernatural world comes crashing down on our heads.

I’m being followed. I’ve spent a year as a detective, savoring my freedom while a powerful dragon follows me. As they say, ignorance is bliss, so I’m ignoring him. I don’t want to face the consequences if I acknowledge the situation.

When I’m contacted by an old acquaintance, I’m thrown into a mystery that threatens to turn the entire paranormal community into rage-filled maniacs. Shifters are being targeted, and our enemies are closing in. As the crown princess of the supernatural world, I can no longer ignore my title or the problems my selfish hope for freedom has caused. I can no longer wait to fix my magic.

So, I make a list and conspire with my powerful dragon stalker. With him on board and the help of my friends, I hope to fix my magic and wake the Firsts before all the pockets fall victim to this strange new magic.

My protective instincts irritate me sometimes. I blame my vampire side because I’ve never witnessed mages who would kill for those they love. I won’t hesitate, especially when my adopted family or one of my rescues is in danger.

When an entire group of purebloods decides they want my brother for his mental magic, and my biological dad attacks us, those protective instincts kick into gear. On top of that, I discovered the purebloods are part of a secret organization that wants to enslave the hybrids. After my brother and I are attacked a few times, our parents want us to flee to the pocket of Allure. The place where my biological family lives. The biological family who birthed my dad and ignored me while he treated me like garbage as a kid.

Because of that lovely history, I hold out until I’m given no choice. My brother and I flee to the pocket and get offered refuge with dragons. Though they’re a lot of fun, I don’t plan on staying there long. I need to save my brother, avoid getting abducted by my biological family, and figure out how to save the hybrids before the secret society enslaves us all.

Something’s not right. My brother is broody, his match isn’t acting crazy, Quin is missing, and the dragons are moping. On top of that, the shifter community is leaderless, the witches are fragmented, and the hybrids are about to be attacked.

When I receive a letter from an unusual source, I discover someone has activated an ancient curse that could bring down the entire coalition. To save the people I love, I need to break the curse, gain the trust of the hybrids, learn my magic, and eliminate the Bellicose leadership.

With the pressure on, I gather allies and head out to find a resting place of an ancient. If I can convince the new First to get on board, I might have time to save the people I love and help the hybrids before the coalition implodes and we’re exposed to humans.

No one will hire me to work in their toxic workplace. Worse, with the Bellicose gone, the city is eerily quiet and my biological family won’t leave me alone.

While scoping out the too-quiet city and practicing my new skills, I discover something much more dangerous than the Bellicose. The human government is snooping around our battle sites and knows about us. When I make a big mistake, I once again find myself in Allure and discover the Queen is missing. Needing to focus on my own life, I decide to let the purebloods handle it.

Until the government knocks on my door.

On top of trying to deal with my new life situation, I need to gather allies and find out what they’re up to, how much they know, and how to protect the hybrids who won’t evacuate. Because if someone doesn’t act, the entire coalition will be hunted by the one group who could wipe us out.

This short novel is the second and last book from Lily’s POV.

The human government knows about us. We understood the risk we took when we took the battle to the city. But we didn’t plan for their government to flood the area, harass the hybrids, and cause a media frenzy. Nor did we understand the sheer amount of information they had about us.

When hybrids start disappearing, and militias begin to hunt us, pockets withdraw their people and lock their gates. My people want to fight back, and I won’t be able to hold them back if they do. The other leaders are restless, and the Leadership Council suggests starting a war with the humans. A war we would lose.

To avoid a disaster, I’ll need to redirect the leader’s anger, find a plan to de-escalate the situation, and find a solution that allows my people to live freely. On the verge of war, I jump at the first political solution presented. It will protect the coalition and help humans advance their societies if it works. Unless the people with strange magic and the remaining Bellicose don’t ruin it all.
